INtime is a real-time OS that is based on a platform of Windows PC. There are lot of devices in off-the- shelf market that are applicable to Windows OS. Most of them, whichever they are internal type or expansion board type, are not necessarily applicable to real-time purpose. (For more detail, see INtime FAQ2-6.) Such devices must be controlled under the real-time OS for real-time purpose, that is, driver software dedicated to INtime is needed.

Note that INtime does not require device driver to access such direct I/O as digital I/O and analog I/O as far as these interface are non-intelligent type expansion board. (for more Detail)

In the package of INtime software, there are;

(A) Standard device drivers included in the development tool kit (TCP/IP,SCSI,USB etc.)

(B) Optional device drivers provided by Micronet or device manufacturer (Serial communication, GPIB, Field-bus, Motion control, Image processing, etc.)

Micronet is ready to support customers who want to use other device than the above INtime supported devices. The support may be;

(1) Contracted development,

(2) Technical consultation and coordination between the customer and device manufacturer,

(3) Joint development with the customer on condition that the cost is shared by Micronet and the result of development is to be one of Micronetfs product.
